Teacher and Teaching Artist training -- click here to see a past example from my work as Executive Director at the Julia Morgan Center for the Arts when it was an affiliate of the Lincoln Center Institute for Arts in Learning from 2000 to 2006. Through my Creative Education Institute, teachers and artists still engage in classroom arts integration by studying live works of art.

Montalvo Arts Center - Teaching Artist Fellowship (2007-2010). Consultation and coaching with Teaching Artist Fellows in partnership with Downtown College Prep. Documentation of learnings and outcomes from the Fellowship. Writing "Artist as Example Framework," a proposal (coming Fall 2010) for a new model for Teaching Artists in schools and community settings, detailing characteristics of effective Teaching Artist Fellows, recommendations for dissemination of the Framework, and defining core principles emerging from evaluation of the Fellowship.
Peralta Hacienda - Docent Training Program (2009-2010). Research, develop, implement, and assess impact of a Docent Storyteller training for community members surrounding the historical and community center in the Fruitvale district of Oakland, CA.

Young Audiences of Northern California
Teaching Artist Professional Development (2010). In partnership with Teaching Artists Organized (TAO), develop and implement artist-centered orientation
workshops for Young Audiences Artists in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Creating Public Value strategic planning 2010-2011. Create and supervise research for background and decision-making for strategic planning, and develop and
implement a community-input process for guiding a new strategic plan with the board of directors, staff leadership, and community stakeholders.
Paden and Otis Elementary Schools, Alameda Unified School District 2006-2012 - Teacher Training in Arts Integration
Train teachers and artists to implement units of study customized by grade level for whole-school participation in arts integration programs modeled on the Lincoln Center Institute for Arts in Education pedagogy.
Teaching Artists Organized, Interim Executive Director and consultant to programs 2009-2012
Youth Guidance Improvement Center and Youth for Service 2010 - Facilitated proposed merger conversations, troubleshooting for emerging issues, support for executive director of the newly merged entity.

Create customized process for strategic planning, including dialogue with staff, faculty, students, volunteers, board and others. Produce strategic plan with clear goals and supporting implementation strategies with Interim Executive Director.
Youth Enrichment Strategies - Executive Director and Board of Directors. 2009-2010
Design and facilitate strategic planning process including Creating Public Value community meetings, focused group conversations, research, and analysis. Facilitate board retreat to define mission and set long-term strategic objectives.
